REGISTRATION FOR ALLAN HANCOCK COLLEGE FALL CLASSES NOW UNDER
WAY
Important Reminder! Check the online fall Class Search often, as classes have
been added (and closed) since the search went live (and since the Schedule at a
Glance was printed). If a class you needed or wanted wasn’t available earlier,
look again—it may have been added! Both new sections of existing course
offerings and brand-new courses are added on a real-time basis. Class Search
is THE definitive class schedule, with up-to-the minute info—check it out today!
Online registration for Allan Hancock College fall 2010 credit classes
is now under way and continues through Aug. 28. College Now!
online registration is Aug. 9-28. Credit classes begin Aug. 23.
All students register online through the myHancock portal. Log on to
myHancock by clicking the icon in the upper right corner of the Allan Hancock
College website homepage at
www.hancockcollege.edu.
Once logged on to the portal, click the “Student” tab, then the
“Register/Add/Drop/Search Classes” link in the My Hancock Stuff channel.
Detailed information about fall 2010 credit classes is available
online at
www.hancockcollege.edu;
click “Class Search” under “Fall 2010.”
Admission and registration assistance is available through Aug. 26 at
the Santa Maria campus, bldg. K, room 10. No appointments are required;
hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday evenings from
and 5 to 6 p.m. Staff will be available to help with applying to the college and/or
registering for classes. Help is also available during posted office hours at
the Santa Maria campus Admissions & Records office and the University Transfer
Center, both located in building A.
Payment Information: Students who register for fall credit classes
through Aug. 16 have four days (96 hours) in which to pay all registration fees
or they will be dropped from their classes. Students registering Aug. 17 through
Aug. 28 must pay all registration fees by 11:59 p.m. on the same day they
register or they will be dropped from their classes. Note that the online registration system is sometimes unavailable due to periodic maintenance requirements. Scheduled outages are announced on the website and the portal, so students should regularly check both locations for outage information, as their payment deadlines may be affected.
Wait List Information: Students who are wait-listed for a fall class
will receive an email to their Hancock email account notifying them when a space
opens in the wait-listed class. Students must enroll in the class within 24
hours from the time that email is sent. After 24 hours, their name is
dropped from the wait list.
The Wait List option for fall credit classes will terminate as of 11:59
p.m., Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. Students may add themselves to a class wait
list until that time, but not after. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 23, and students
still wait-listed as of class time must attend the first class session to obtain
instructor permission to add the class. Students not registered or wait-listed
for the class, but wishing to add it, must also attend the first class session
to obtain instructor permission to enroll in the class.
New students wishing to enroll in fall credit classes must first
apply for admission prior to registering for classes. Visit
www.hancockcollege.edu and click the credit
admission form link under “Apply Summer & Fall 2010.” When completing the form,
click the appropriate button for your Enrollment Status/Student Type:
